PHILMONT DAY 1

Last night was very windy. It was difficult sleeping due to the tent flaps flapping all night. Before going to bed, I was in the Adult Latrine and 2 men were talking. One was telling the other about some surgery he had.  All of a sudden the other guy was hugging the sink. We both thought he was going to throw up. When the guy tried to stand up, he fell against the wall and then onto the floor. He was out cold! The guy with the surgery started taking care of the passed out guy and I went to call for the medics.

DAY 1

What a day!  After all the preparations yesterday, it was 2:00 am when I got to bed. I was up at 6:00 in order to be at Mountain View at 7:30.  I just had to have a coffee so a stop at QT was in order.  Everyone was in high spirits and excited.  We took a few photos, hugged mom bye and hit the road around 8:00.  The first leg was pretty normal.  Joel and I in the truck with all the gear and Terry had the rest of the guys in the van.  Someone brought a TV and an Xbox to play but the Xbox doesn’t like to ride.
